Description:

Manufactured in 1918. The left side of the barrel has the two-line address/patent dates and nickel steel markings followed by "30 W.C.F." A Winchester factory oval proof is on the barrel and receiver at the breech. The upper tang has the three-line model/trade mark information. Pinned blade front and folding ladder rear sights and a saddle ring and stud on the left side of the receiver. Mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a carbine buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 80% plus original blue finish remaining, with finish loss is limited to flaking on both sides of the receiver. There is some minor high point wear on the front barrel band and the buttplate has a smooth mottled brown patina. The wood is also very fine with a few scattered minor pressure dents. The markings remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
