Converted around the 1840s-1850s. The rib is inlaid with "Valtin Anschutz in Gotha" in silver and had a blade front sight. The converted locks have "Barthelmes" (right) and "in Zella" (left) in gold wire inlay and have golden accents on the bestial hammers. The furniture is engraved German silver, and the stock has checkering with pin accents, silver wire inlay at the breech and butt, a traditional Germanic wooden trigger guard and cheekpiece with carved accents.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall with mostly brown patina, light oxidation, essentially all of the gold and silver inlay on the lock and barrel, lightly aged patina on the German silver, sections of wire inlay absent from the stock, general scratches and dings, and generally crisp engraving, checkering, and markings. The front sight and sling swivel are absent. Mechanically fine.
