This circa early 19th century blunderbuss has an approximately 8 gauge bore that flares out to 1 1/4 inches at the muzzle. The barrel is marked "LONDON" and has London Gunmaker's Co. proof and view marks flanking a "*/WB" maker's mark on the left. The advanced late flintlock period lock has no markings. The stock has a finely checkered wrist.

Fine overall with deep attractively aged patina on most of the brass, dark brown patina and oxidation on the iron, some faint minor cracks and chips in the otherwise fine wood, crisp checkering, and minor storage wear. Mechanically fine.
