Description:

This pattern was used from the late 18th century until the mid-19th century throughout the British Empire. It has standard markings and features as well as "79 RT 2 B" on top of the barrel. This may be have been used by the 2nd Battalion of the 79th Regiment of Foot (Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders) which fought in many battles during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Includes a socket bayonet with leather scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Good with mostly bright surfaces, mild pitting, aged patina on the brass, crack in the trigger guard tang, small marks and scratches, cracking and chipping at the front of the forend, mild dents and scrapes, and crisp markings. The bayonet matches the musket condition, and the scabbard has the tip section absent. Mechanically fine.
