U.S. Harpers Ferry Model 1819 Hall Breech Loading Flintlock Rifle

The Model 1819 Hall was the first military breech loading firearm issued in large numbers and also the first firearm manufactured with totally interchangeable parts. This rifle has the standard second variation markings and features and is dated "1831" on the breech.

ConditionGood with mostly brown patina throughout, some patches of mild pitting, and general marks and scratches. The top jaw of the lock is a browned replacement. The mainspring is a bit weak, and the frizzen spring is cracked; otherwise, it is mechanically fine. The stock is also good and has moderate scratches and dings, some small chips, a crack in the left side between the action and trigger guard, and smooth oiled finish.
