The receiver is engraved with broad leafy scroll, punch dot backgrounds, and "ANSLEY H. FOX" in banners on the sides. Checkered splinter forearm with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with serrated hard rubber buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .736/.736 inch; minimum wall thickness .032/.032 inch; drop at comb 1 5/8 inches; drop at heel 2 5/8 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches.

Fine. The barrels have 90% original blue finish with sharp markings, surface scratches, small nicks, and edge wear. The receiver has a mostly gray/brown patina with some surface spotting sharp engraving and handling marks. The wood is also fine with a visible small crack behind and to the right of the upper tang, well-defined checkering, and numerous dings and dents. Mechanically excellent.
