Description:

Patridge blade front and drift adjustable rear sights, with 'WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD BIRMINGHAM & LONDON" on the rib, ""W.S." TARGET MODEL" on the top strap, and "WEBLEY/PATENTS" on the left side of the frame next to the winged bullet. Birmingham proofs are present on multiple parts, with a matching partial number on the barrel and "450664" on the side of the cylinder. No information regarding this interchange is available, though the traditional theories for a single part being 1 digit off are A) factory error or B) substitution between pistols issued as a solid number block to a military unit, either intentionally by an armorer needing to salvage a replacement part or accidentally by squad mates during weapon cleaning. Fitted with a set of checkered hardwood grips and a lanyard swivel.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 60% original blue finish, showing a number of light scratches and dings, bright edge/cycling wear, and areas of spotting and brown patina, the latter concentrated on the grip straps. The heavily worn grips are fair, with some dings and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
