Known officially as the "Honor Weapon of the Political Leaders," PPK pistols with these special grips were presented to NSDAP officials for meritorious party service by the Hitler. Fixed sights, the Walther banner, two line address and patents, and "Mod.PPK" on the left side of the slide, commercial "eagle/N" proofs on the slide, chamber and muzzle, and matching numbers on the alloy frame and inside the slide. The brown plastic, one piece, wrap around grips are checkered and have the NSDAP eagle holding a wreath encircled swastika insignia cast on the top of the both sides, and the magazine is fitted with a brow plastic grip extension. Included with the pistol is an identity document made out to an "Alois Specht", with the cover marked for the SS-Division "Liebstandarte-SS Adolf Hitler" (LSSAH) and "SS-Sonderkommando/Liebwachter Fuhrer" (SS Special Unit Bodyguard Leader), with the interior dated 1943 and showing a "summer" pattern uniform with Sturmbannfuehrer (SS equivalent to major) tabs. Originally an evolution of Hitler's personal bodyguard from his old street fighting days, the LSSAH was among the first SS units to receiver proper military training and served as a nucleus for the Waffen-SS. "Sonderkommando" duty mainly involved small, ad-hoc units for special tasks, often including mass murder. Excellent with 98% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, light handling marks, and a small amount of spotting on the chamber. The grip is very fine, with some warping visible along the top edges, excellent detail in the eagles, and light handling marks. The I.D. shows some blue stains and mild wear. The outward warpage of the grip obstructs the safety, otherwise mechanically excellent.
