Barrel: 29 inch part octagon
Finish: blue/bright
Grip:
Stock: hardwood

Description:

Blade front and three-leaf folding ladder rear sights, the left side of the receiver marked "G. Mod.71." and the right stamped "1876" (the 6 appearing restamped), with a number of "crown/gothic letter" proofs overall, the Oberndorf address on the top barrel flat, and a "crown/W" on the top left. The smooth stock is fitted with a metal pistol grip, a leather sling, and a mismatched number replacement flat steel buttplate marked "13.A.L.4.117." on the heel. (Many of the screws are also mismatched numbers).

Rating Definition:

Very good as assembled. The barrel is showing a well aged plum/brown patina, with a mixed brown and gray on the receiver, bolt and barrel bands, with some mild spotting and handling marks overall. The stock shows a number of dents, scuffs and scratches, though no visible cracking or significant chips, and the sling is supple with a small amount of cracking and verdigris. Mechanically very good.

Type: Carbine
Gauge: 11 mm
Barrel: 20 inch round
Finish: blue/bright

Description:

Similar to A, with a "K.Mod.71" and "1878" marked receiver, straight wrist stock, and no unit marking.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with mostly a plum colored barrel, mixed gray receiver and bolt, a few patches of brown patina, and scattered spotting and handling marks. The bolt has been cleaned/polished. A thin crack is present on top of the wrist, otherwise the stock is good, with some dents and scuffs. Mechanically fine.
