Description:

Manufactured in 1915, with hooded blade front and folding ladder rear sights, "SA/10-15" marked barrel, "I8" and "L" marked bolt, faint "ordnance bomb" over "NRA" stamped on forward trigger guard, and standard markings on the receiver ring. Smooth stock with a single reinforcing bolt, brown leather sling, circled script "P" on the underside of the wrist, modified "J.S.A." cartouche, and a checkered steel buttplate with a plastic oil container and pull-through brush in the trap.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 70% of the faded original blue finish, with a mixed dark color on the receiver, a brown patina on the front barrel band, and scattered handling marks and edge wear. The refinished stock is very good, with numerous scratches and dents overall. The crudely restamped inspector cartouche is double-stamped, and the "P" is faint. Mechanically excellent.
