Description:

Pacific-brand blade front and Lyman receiver peep sights, with a "SA/8-24" dated barrel bearing the "*" star proof on the muzzle, and with no provision for a conventional rear ladder sight. Standard markings are present on the receiver, with a "W3L" marked bolt. Fitted with a smooth sporting length pistol grip stock, with a circled block "P" behind the trigger guard, a brown leather sling and a vented Red Head recoil pad. Included with the rifle is a February 1924 dated letter from a W.H Disbrow regarding custom work on an unidentified rifle, and a "9-5-24" dated Springfield Star Gauge Record sheet, identified to this rifle by serial number, with measurements taken at the muzzle and 21 inches down the barrel.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 95% plus original blue, showing some minor edge wear and handling marks overall. The stock is very good as shortened and fitted with recoil pad, with a few handling marks and spots of worn varnish. Mechanically excellent.
