Description:

Manufactured in 1910 with the barrel marked "S A/flaming bomb/1- 10". The bolt is numbered "404706" on the rear safety lug, and the stock is marked "E" in the magazine cutoff slot and "J.F.C." on the left side of the wrist, with a brown leather sling and a sharply checkered steel buttplate. Included with the rifle is a British bayonet (does not fit), with a canvas covered sheath.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 50% plus of the original blue, showing areas of gray and brown patina, scattered scratches, handling marks and spotting. The refinished stock is very good, with a mended chip on top of the wrist and lightly sanded finger grooves. The bayonet is fair. Mechanically excellent.
