Description:

Early production example of an Underwood contract M1 carbine. Fixed blade front and flip up two leaf rear peep sights, "5-43" dated Underwood barrel, narrow type 1 barrel band, two rivet handguard, blue flat top bolt, and milled trigger guard. With a correct early high wood stock with a boxed "UEF/GHD" inspection cartouche on the right, Marlin "M-U" stamp in the sling recess, and stamped checkered buttplate. With canvas web sling.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 80% plus original gray/green parkerized finish remains with some edge wear, cycling marks, and handling marks overall. The wood is fine with numerous small dings, some larger pressure marks, legible markings, and some light edge chipping. Magazine absent. Mechanically excellent.
