Manufactured about 1911-1915, over 90% of the surface of this fine Pre-War Mauser Broomhandle is covered with fine engraving executed by an unknown party. The original markings, proofs and serial numbers are all untouched, with much of the surface covered in fine American-style scroll work with textured backgrounds, a floral motif around the floor plate retention pin, and a set of double-headed eagles inside the large milled frame panels. In addition to the external numbers, matching numbers are present on the floor plate and inside the 33-groove grips. A glass topped, red velvet lined, French-cut hardwood display case is included, with one loaded clip, a cleaning rod, and a stamped Mauser Banner plaque.

Fine as custom embellished, with 98% of the professional quality blue, showing a small amount of handling marks overall, as well as some dark spots on the hammer. The grips are very good, with some light dents, the case shows some wear and tear, and the cleaning rod is rusted near the tip. Mechanically excellent.
