This is an excellent example of a post WWI 1920 DWM commercial Luger pistol that has been fitted with the desirable 6 inch 7.65 mm chambered barrel. This example produced to the high standards as on all of the commercial models, exhibiting a beautiful pre-war quality rust blued finish with the straw colored small parts; trigger, magazine release button, ejector spring, safety lever and take down lever. This Luger is correctly marked with only the "Crown/N" proof on the left side of the barrel extension and front toggle. The front of the frame is marked with the full serial number "7718i" over "GERMANY", and as noted, it has been fitted with the longer 6 inch barrel that is marked with only the word "GERMANY" on the left side. It has the standard inverted "v" front sight and the standard fixed rear sight. It is correctly marked "GELADEN" and "GESICHERT" for loaded and safe, and it is fitted with an excellent set of light colored checkered walnut grips and is complete with the correct unmarked nickel plated magazine with the wooden base plug.

Excellent overall with 99% of the rust blued finish with only minor edge and high spot wear overall with just a hint of thinning on the rear lug. The grips are in excellent plus condition with nice sharp checkering on both sides. Mechanically excellent. An excellent example of a desirable post WWI DWM Model 1920 Long Barreled Luger pistol.
