Description:

The serial number range for these Model 1900s begins at approximately 6,100; thus, this is an early example. Manufactured by DWM expressly for American export, with the signature "American Eagle" on top of the chamber. Fixed sights, an early pattern Luger bolt and toggle assembly with the flat top bolt, unmarked extractor, and dished toggle knobs with spring-loaded toggle lock. External serial numbers visible on left side of takedown. Serial numbers are commercial in layout and, except for the unmarked magazine base, are externally matching. No "GERMANY" import mark is present; this marking is seen on nearly all of the commercially imported Lugers in America during this period, suggesting the pistol was brought to America for early military test trials. With straw finished small components, a grip safety, checkered grips and a nickel bodied magazine with an unmarked wood base.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 70% plus of the original blue finish, showing a brown patina on the grip straps, bright edge wear, and some minor spotting and handling marks. 50% of the straw colors are present on the small parts, with mild spotting and a gray patina on the remainder. The grips are very good, with mild dents and flat spots. Mechanically excellent.
