Description:

Measuring 11 3/4 inches overall, this knife is fitted with a 5 3/8 inch double edged spear point blade, set into a zinc handguard/thumb rest, which has a ribbed cylindrical extension coming up 1 1/8 inches on the blade. The grip is smooth leather washer construction, capped with a zinc "skull crusher" pommel. With a "long drop" leather sheath with a copper reinforced tip and a number of faint ink stamps. Included with the dagger are photocopies from a book on fighting knives, which calls out the bright blade and smooth grip as being a feature of the very first prototypes of the V-42 Stiletto.

Rating Definition:

Fair. The blade shows mild spotting and polishing marks, along with some shallow pitting. The zinc components are heavily cracked and chipped, with parts of the guard absent. Grip is good, with mild dings and scuffs. Sheath is fair, with the retention strap absent, scuffs and stains.
