Manufactured in 1918. Fixed blade front and flat top rear sights with the three-line Colt patent dates and Remington Arms address on either side of the circled "REMINGTON/UMC" trademark on the left side of the slide and "MODEL OF 1911/U.S. ARMY CALIBER .45" on the right. The frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "E.E.C./eagle head/E28" on the left side with "E" and "1" on the trigger guard. Fitted with a wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, long trigger, "E" bottom marked flat mainspring housing, checkered double diamond grips, pinned base two-tone magazine and a "P" marked barrel.
