Manufactured in 1943. Blade and flat top notch sights, the "USS" monogram and "U.S. & S. CO./SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A." on the left side of the slide, a Robert Downie "RCD" inspected frame, a thin checkered hammer, short stamped trigger, long grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing, reinforced Keyes Fiber grips, full blue "L" marked magazine and a High Standard barrel. With two extra magazines (sealed in green paper wrap) and a brown cardboard box numbered "01-00040" on the lid.

Excellent, with 95% plus original Du-Lite finish. A few scattered small dents are visible on the frame beneath the slide stop, with some takedown lines in the surrounding area, mild edge wear, light surface rust visible on top of the slide and a few other scattered handling marks. The grips are also excellent, with some minor dings on the crisp checkering. The box is good, with some hand-markings on the signs, interior rubbing/staining, and wear concentrated on the edges. Mechanically excellent.
