Manufactured in 1913. Fixed sights, with the two-line, two-block address and patent markings on the left side of the slide, the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" (serifed) on the right, with a "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked, "WGP" (Penfield) inspected frame. Fitted with a round top rear sight, wide knurled hammer, long smooth trigger, short grip safety, flat lanyard staple magazine housing, checkered hardwood grips, unmarked two-tone pinned loop base magazine and a later production replacement "P H" marked Colt barrel.

Fine, with 70% of the original blue finish, showing areas of textured brown patina concentrated on the grip straps, bright edge wear and scattered handling marks. The heavily worn grips are good, with some scuffing and chipping. Mechanically excellent.
