Fixed sights, with the two-line, two-block address and patent markings on the left side of the slide, the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" (serifed) on the right, with a "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked, "WGP" (Penfield) inspected frame. Fitted with a round top rear sight, wide knurled hammer, long smooth trigger, short grip safety, flat lanyard staple magazine housing, checkered hardwood grips, unmarked two-tone pinned loop base magazine and a later production replacement "P H" marked Colt barrel.
