Manufactured at an unspecified date, this Remington Model 11 Shotgun, Riot Configuration, retains the original green vapor wrap over much of the metal surface, particularly the barrel group and receiver, with the cardboard supports present within the box. The end label notes a plain barrel, 20 inches long with a cylinder choke, Grade R, with the Special Equipment note "MILITARY FINISH". The wood is visible, with a crisp "FJA" Atwood inspection stamp on the left side of the buttstock. Details are not available, but this appears to be an original military contract Remington shotgun that was accepted for service but never broken out and issued. A vintage Model 11 manual is also included, with an "Effective November 15, 1941" ink stamp on the front cover.

New in box; the item appears to have never been fully unpacked from the original shipping material, and shows only minimal handling marks overall. None of the wrapping has been shifted to inspect the metal. The box is very good, with some scuffing and stains appropriate to age and travel. Most likely the finest vintage Remington Model 11, military or commercial, that will be offered by our auction!
