The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 4 3/4 inch barrel in .38-40 caliber, blue finish, and type of stocks not listed when shipped to E.S. Bettes Hardware, Paris, Texas (C/O W.L. Studley) on November 30, 1910. It has standard Colt markings. Matching numbers are found on the frame (factory error overstruck "7"), trigger guard, back strap, and both grip panels.

Rating Definition:

Extremely fine. The revolver retains 85% bright original high polish blue finish with lightly visible cylinder drag lines, the balance thinning to a gray on the rear grip straps and 90% plus original case colors. A spot of rust is visible on the left side of the front sight blade. The grips are also very fine showing minimal minor handling evidence and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
