Manufactured in 1937. The barrel has the one-line Hartford address on top and "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER .44-40" on the left side. The left side of the frame has the two-line, three patent dates marking followed by a Rampant Colt. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, trigger guard, back strap, and both grip panels. The last two digits of the serial number ("34") are stamped on the rear cylinder face. Matching assembly numbers are found on the rear of the frame and loading gate. Comes with the factory black box numbered to the gun and an August 1941 dated Far West Hobby Shop of San Francisco receipt listing this revolver as being sold for $39.40.

Excellent plus near new in box overall, retaining over 99% original blue and casehardened finishes showing traces of a cylinder drag line and minimal handling evidence. The grips have crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine showing some minor wear and retaining nearly all of the end label. A highly attractive, high condition example of the iconic SAA with original box.
