Manufactured in 1887. Single bead sight on the smooth concave rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN, CONN. TWIST" with 2 5/8 inch chambers, single extractor, standard markings on the flats, and modified/full chokes. The barrels feature light floral and scroll engraving at the breech with light scroll on the break lever, and line borders on the hammers. Checkered splinter forearm with lightly engraved fittings, and straight grip stock with silver initial shield at the top of the wrist and checkered Parker Brothers dog head buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .757/.756 inch; bore constriction .018(modified)/.036(full); minimum wall thickness .047/.047 inch; drop at comb 2 inches; drop at heel 3 1/8 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrels have an overall mottled gray patina with sharp markings, spotting throughout, some mild pitting, and faint twist pattern. The receiver and locks have traces of original case colors in the protected areas around the hammers, but are silver/gray with clear markings, and traces of original blue finish on the trigger guard. The wood is also fine with moderately worn checkering, small dings throughout, and a few larger marks on the buttstock. Mechanically excellent.
