Description:

Developed by noted German SMG designer Hugo Schmeisser, the MP41 shares many features of the MP40 and MP28 sub-machine guns, essentially using a receiver, barrel and magazine well assembly in the vein of the 40, and a trigger group and stock following the 28. In essence, the 41 represented a meeting between the two generations of sub-machine guns deployed for World War II, the vintage hardwood and machined steel construction of the inter-war era, and the stampings and sheet metal that would dominate the Cold War era. Hooded blade front and two-leaf rear sights, with "eagle/swastika" and "eagle/37" markings on multiple components, the serial number on the underside of the barrel, and the three-line model, patent and address markings hand-cut into the top of the receiver. The Fleming Firearms address is hand-scribed on the lower right side of the receiver tube, concealed by the stock. The hardwood stock is finger grooved in the front, cut for a 98k style sling at the rear, with "E" and "D" (semi and full) pushbutton selector switch and a bright steel buttplate. One magazine is included, marked "M.P.41/PATENT SCHMEISSER/HAENEL" on the left side.

Rating Definition:

Fine as remanufactured/restored overall, with 95% plus professional quality blue, showing some bright cycling wear on the receiver, mild edge wear and handling marks overall, and some mild spotting. The stock is very fine, with a few light dents and scuffs. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
