This very fine colonial era inspired rifle was built by Sig Schulz of Dubois, Wyoming. He's been active since 1977. The tapered octagon barrel is signed "~Siegfried Schulz~" on top in a nickel-silver panel and also marked ".50" on the upper left at the breech. It is equipped with traditional dovetailed blade and notch sights. The lock has some light scroll engraving. The furniture is brass. The side plate also has some light engraving. The stock has a very warm finish that is darker the recesses of the carving giving depth and also has attractive subtle flame figure. It has scroll and floral carving and a wooden patch box lid. Includes a vent pick and a worm attachment.
Very fine overall as custom made with very attractive antiqued finish, signs of only light use, and slight handling and storage marks. Mechanically excellent.
