Description:

This swivel gun is approximately 28 inches in overall length with a 28 3/8 inch bore length and 2 1/8 inch bore diameter and appears to have be from Imperial Russia in the 1840s. The left trunnion has "N 28157" above two lines of untranslated text and "28220" on the mount by the trunnion, the right trunnion has "1 #" over two lines of untranslated text over "1842 i," and the top between the trunnions has a raised relief cast double headed imperial eagle. It is elevation adjustable. A tall wooden post mount is included. Provenance: Firearms for Freedom Collection

Rating Definition:

Good with a coat of protective white/light gray painting remaining, some red paint showing underneath, dark brown patina and moderate pitting on the exposed iron, and some replaced hardware. The wooden post's feet are chipped/broken.
