Manufactured c. 1984, this is one of only 27 Beretta Model 92SBWS pistols manufactured under contract for the Los Angeles Police Department for use at the 1984 Summer Olympics. The pistols supposedly were not delivered in time to actually be issued for the Olympics and all were later sold, other than two, which were retained by Beretta. A Beretta factory letter dated 9 July 1987 states that these pistols were serial numbered C31509Z, C31510Z, and C31514Z through C315138Z (This pistol number C31519Z falls within the aforementioned documented serial range). The left side of the slide is marked with the Pietro Beretta address while the right has the model designation, caliber, and importer mark in two lines. There are Italian proofs on the right of the trigger guard. It is fitted with mostly standard features of the Model 92SB including blade and notch sights, threaded barrel, ambidextrous thumb safety, and checkered black plastic grips with Beretta logos, with the scarce exception being the folding and detachable shoulder stock. The previously mentioned serial number range is listed by the ATF as classified as a Curio & Relic and exempted from the provisions of the NFA. Includes the original box, an extra magazine, cleaning tools, and a Beretta letter listing the serial number range.

Excellent, retains 99% plus of the original blue finish with only the slightest handling marks. The grips are also excellent with a few light blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. The stock is also excellent with some very light wear on moving parts. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine with some light wear.
