Manufactured in 1885. Combination Beech front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight and tang ladder style folding sight. Barrel stamped with the two-line legend ahead of the rear sight and "38 Cal" at the breech. Left side of receiver has a Rampant Colt. Straight grip stock mounted with a crescent buttplate.

Fine, retaining 70% original blue finish with thinning to brown on the balance. Slight traces of original nitre blue remain on the loading gate. 75% original case colors remain on the hammer. The buttplate has a brown-gray patina. The wood is very fine with some minor dings and scratches and crisp forearm checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
