Per the included certificate, this pistol was part of the initial deployment of the U.S. M17 MHS Pistol in American service; an attached, matching numbered "dog tag" identifies this specific pistol to the 4th Squadron, N Troop, 3rd Cavalry Regiment from about January of 2018 to June 2019. A variant of the SIG 320 modular pistol, the M17 integrates an ambidextrous thumb safety to the modular fire control unit, with illuminated night sights, optics mounting point on the slide, "+P" weight recoil spring, and coyote brown metal and polymer finish. The number "6" has been applied in marker to the underside, possibly an inventory mark applied by the 3rd Cavalry, and the grip unit is marked size "M". The shipping box is a numbered match to the pistol and identifies it as "UDM17-9-SURPLUS", and contains two extra magazines, a standard weight recoil spring, cable lock, U.S. flag patch with velcro backing and papers.
Excellent, with 95% plus original coyote brown finish, showing light wear, slide cycling/retraction marks, and scuffing consistent with field use. Mechanically excellent.
