Manufactured in 1892. The rifle is fitted with a combination Beach front sight, an elevation adjustable rear sight and a tall staff tang mounted peep sight graduated from 0-50 on the left side. The top of the barrel is stamped with the two-line address ahead of the rear sight and "38 WCF" at the breech. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock fitted with a crescent buttplate.

Fine, retaining 40% original blue finish with a smooth brown-gray patina on the balance. Some patterns of original case colors remain on the hammer and lever, and traces of original niter blue remain on the loading gate. The re-oiled wood is also fine showing some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
