Manufactured in 1940 with standard markings, checkered trigger and hammer, and fitted with a pair of smooth pearl grips with Colt Medallions. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration as well as shipment to Von Lengerke & Antoine in Chicago on 6 March 1940. Includes the original Colt maroon box with additional label marked "PEARL" as well as a retailer added label marked "V.L.&A./CHICAGO". Provenance: The Doug Ellison Collection

Excellent, retains 99% plus of the original nickel finish with some scattered light handling marks and spotting, and a faint cylinder drag line. The grips are also excellent with minimal handling evidence. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with some mild wear and glue repairs visible on some seams and corners.
