Manufactured in 1925 and outfitted in the style of the U.S. Springfield Model 1903/1924 International Match Rifle, with a heavy Remington target barrel installed and a hinged cork handrest mounted to the floorplate. Hooded globe front and 125 meter adjustable Lyman peep rear sights, with the standard nomenclature on the receiver ring and a double set trigger. The bolt is marked "J5" on the handle, and fitted with a "headless" cocking piece. The pistol grip stock is fitted with an adjustable front sling swivel, checkered wrist, and a "Swiss hook" style aluminum buttplate with vertical adjustment.
Very good, with 75% plus blue finish, showing scattered specs of surface rust, some light wear and handling marks overall. The stock is very good, with some mild dents and scuffs an some gouging of the stock by the rear sight. The hand rest shows some scuffing and retains about half of the finish. The trigger needs adjustment, and the magazine hardware is absent, does not function.
