Manufactured in 1964, the North Vietnam made SKSs are the rarest variant. The North Vietnamese established a factory which operated from 1963-1965 before being destroyed by U.S. air raids. This rifle features the serial number and "star 1" factory marking on the left of the receiver. It is fitted with hooded post front and elevation adjustable (Russian marked) rear sights, and folding knife bayonet. Matching serial numbers are found on the receiver, bolt carrier, and on the stock behind the sling loop.
Exceptionally fine, retaining 85% blue finish with scattered pitting throughout and some patches of surface oxidation. Stock is very fine with scattered scratches and a hairline crack at the toe. Mechanically excellent
