Manufactured in 1884 with standard markings and features including the desirable "COLT HOUSE 38" etched panel on the left of the barrel. This revolver is one of roughly 4,000 manufactured from 1880-1886, as a continuation of the "house" revolver line, and part of Colt's "New" line of revolvers. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection
Excellent plus, retains 99% of the original nickel finish with some scattered light spotting and a patch of very light flaking on the right of the frame in front of the cylinder. The etched panel is crisp. The grips are also excellent with a minor flat spot on the left, a few scattered light handling marks, and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
