Collector's Lot of Two Antique Marlin O.K. Model Derringers

A) Marlin O.K. Model Derringer with Scarce Square Butt

Manufactured from 1863 to 1870, approximately 6,000 total were made, with few being of the square butt variety like this early production example. The top barrel flat is marked "O.K" and the serial number is on the butt, bottom of the barrel, and inside the right grip. It is fitted with a blade front sight and smooth rosewood grips.

ConditionVery good, the barrel retains traces of original blue finish with a mostly a smooth grey patina on the balance and some very light pin point pitting. The brass has a smooth patina. The grips are good with a couple missing chips and a number of minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.

B) Marlin O.K. Model Derringer

Manufactured between 1863 and 1870. Silver blade front sight on barrel marked "O.K" on the top flat and two line address on the right. Fitted with bird head rosewood grips. The serial number is on the left of the grip frame, bottom of the barrel, and inside the left grip. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection

ConditionVery good, retains traces of the original blue and silver finishes with the balance mostly a smooth grey patina or attractive antique brass. The grips are fine with a dark spot and minor chip on the left and otherwise scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
