The casehardened boxlock action displays light floral scroll engraving, "J. P. SAUER & SON." on either side, double triggers, and tang mounted automatic safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings including the Deeley latch release and round knob pistol grip stock with Sauer buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 1/8 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs 11 oz.

Very good, retaining 95% original blue finish on the barrels with widespread spotting with concentration under the forend, 70% original case colors, and grey patina on the triggerguard. The wood is excellent with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
