Manufactured in 1884. The top of the barrel has the two-line address. The cylinder is marked with British proofs. It has standard features as well as a pair of checkered hard rubber grips. Includes a hardwood case with British retailer interior label marked "J. VENABLES & SON/GUN MAKERS,/99, ALDATE'S STREET,/Opposite Christ Church,/OXFORD", an oiler, cleaning rod, key, and six Eley .320 CF cartridges.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 85% plus of the likely original finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily on the grip straps and left of the barrel. The grips are also very fine with a minor chip absent from the top of the left panel, scattered minor dings, and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
