Manufactured in 1871, the first year of production. The top of the barrel has the standard two-line address and the chambers of the cylinder and upper left of the barrel have British proofs. The matching serial number is marked on the butt and bottom of the barrel. Includes an oak case with Gustave Masu, London interior label, cleaning rod, key, screwdriver, and oiler.

Very fine, retains 90% plus of the period retailer applied nickel finish with a few scattered small patches of light flaking and some light spotting. The slightly undersized attractive grips are very fine with a few scattered hairline cracks, mostly around the screws. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with some extensive moderate handling/storage marks scattered throughout.
