This unique, mostly unidentified cartridge board measures 28 3/8 by 25 3/8 inches. The border has a variety of cartridges and then the main display has facsimiles of rifle and pistol cartridges of various calibers along with special target bullets, shot shells, and primers. The United States Cartridge Company was founded in 1869 and became the leading U.S. ammunition manufacturer in the early 20th century and through World War I and was then purchased by Winchester Repeating Arms Co.
