Manufactured in 1877 with the standard two-line address on top of the barrel, "COLT NEW 22" on the left in an etched panel, patent date on the bottom along with matching serial number "9611", and full serial number on the butt. There are London proofs on the barrel and cylinder. It has standard features and is fitted with a pair of smooth grips. Includes a leather wrapped case with a Colt London Agency interior label and 24 .22 RF cartridges.

Fine, retains 80% of the period retailer/agency applied blue and 95% nickel finishes with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey or plum brown patina and a few small scattered patches of very light surface pitting. The slightly undersized grips are fine with a few hairline age cracks around the screw holes and otherwise minimal handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with some mild wear to the corners.
