Only an estimated 1,000 of these 3rd Models were manufactured from 1859 to 1860. The 3rd Model is the only Beals pocket revolver equipped with a loading lever, which is the same type used on Beals Army and Navy revolvers. The top barrel flat has the standard two line Beals patent dates (1856, '57, '58) and the Remington address marking. The cylinder has etched floral scrollwork. The full serial number is on the bottom of the barrel, left of the grip frame, and stamped inside each of the checkered hard rubber grips. "AB" is scratched on the butt of the right panel.
