Manufactured in 1913-1914, the top of the slide is marked with the standard two-line address, patent, and caliber markings, with the "9MM" marking absent. It is fitted with blade front and notch rear sights, and a pair of smooth pearl grips. The consignor notes that this pistol was upgraded to its current configuration in 2011 by J.B. Wood and Tom Lent. Includes a custom hardwood presentation case. Provenance: The Bailey Brower, Jr. Collection, author of “Savage Pistols”
Very fine as professionally upgraded to its current configuration, retains 99% of the gold plated finish with a few scattered light handling marks and a few scattered patches of very light surface pitting visible beneath the finish. The grips are also very fine with only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with a few scattered light handling/storage marks.
