Blued Winchester Proof steel barrels with a dual white bead sights on the matted raised vent rib which is marked "CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER FOR MONTGOMERY ROSS FISHER", chokes marked "MOD"/"FULL", and chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors. The blued action shows Winchester 21-1 pattern engraving showing scrollwork on all sides with geometric rounds at the pivot pin and floorplate screw. The gun features a single selective trigger and a tang mounted automatic safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with blued steel grip cap, "M/R/F" in the gold inscription oval, and factory rubber recoil pad. Montgomery Ross Fisher was a well respected Los Angeles construction contractor and trustee of the University of Southern California who passed away in 2009. There is a Montgomery Ross Fisher building named in his honor on the campus of USC. Though it cannot be confirmed without a doubt that this is the original owner of the gun, it certainly seems to be likely. Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with some plum coloration on the frame, minor handling marks, a few pressure marks and scratches in the wood, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
