Manufactured in 1947 and subsequently upgraded to its current configuration. Blued barrel with dual gold bead sights on the matted solid rib, chamber marked 3 inches, choke marked full, and wedges of scroll engraving at either side of the breech. The blued receiver displays highly attractive floral scroll engraving with gold borders surrounding a pair of hunting scenes depicting a hunter and his dog having just flushed a covey of quail on the left and a hunter with a covey of quail on the right as well. The scenes are all cut in semi-relief gold inlay, and the work is signed "LC" on the left. Highly figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with factory grip cap and buttplate.
