Designed and manufactured in the late 1970s to early 1980s for field testing by the Canadian Army. The design lost out to the Accuracy International L96, and all rifles were sold as surplus. The design features an updated and reinforced Mauser 98 pattern action, with a increased receiver side rail thickness and fully enclosed top area of the receiver with integral scope mounting point. Other features include a target type trigger assembly, winged post front and flip-up elevation adjustable rear sight, threaded muzzle, along with a detachable box magazine. Fitted with a MacMillan pattern fiberglass stock with target forend and one-piece rail on the underside, an enlarged pistol grip area, higher comb, and adjustable butt inserts. Magazine absent. Includes Versa-Pod adjustable bipod.
