Description:

This scarce revolver was manufactured in 1868 and is the seldom encountered Model 7A variant with a nickel plated finish. Only around 2,925 of the Model 7 and 7A revolvers were made near the end of production. The two-stage, round barrel has a post front sight and the two-line "ADDRESS COL. COLT/NEW-YORK U.S.A." address. The cylinder is engraved with the stagecoach scene and has a cylinder pin screw. The matching serial number is visible on the bottom of the barrel, side of the cylinder, and the butt. The revolver is fitted with a smooth one-piece grip. It comes in a fitted case with balls, an Eely Bros. cap tin, Great Seal of the U.S. themed pocket flask, screwdriver, "L" shaped tool, and ball/bullet mold.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 40% plus original nickel plating and smooth gray patina on the balance, some light speckled oxidation, and generally minor handling and storage marks overall. The grip is also fine and has attractive natural aged tones and grain, minor age cracks on the butt, and some very slight flakes at the edges. Mechanically fine. The case and accessories are also very good and have mild age and storage related wear.
