Description:

Around 2,000 of these revolvers were manufactured c. 1873-1875. It features a cone front sight, the two-line Hartford barrel address, ejector fitted on the right side of the barrel, no provisions for a loading lever, the 1871 and 1872 patent marking on the frame, stagecoach scene on the cylinder, "36 CAL" on the left side of the trigger guard, a loading gate on the conversion breech plate, centerfire hammer, matching visible serial numbers, and pearl grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 90% plus of the untouched original nickel plating aside from the grip straps which display aged patina on the exposed brass, strong original niter blue on the small parts, bright original case colors on the hammer, and minor handling and storage wear. The grips are also very fine and have attractive natural iridescent colors, minor edge flakes, and light handling wear. The cylinder stop is not engaging properly making the revolver out of time; otherwise, it is mechanically fine.
