This is a late 19th century Colt advertising broadside, featuring Colt's "New Line" of handguns, which were introduced after the transition from percussion firearms, and the need to replace percussion conversion guns was realized. The advertisement is double sided and features prominently at the top on one side, the introduction of the Colt "New Model Army Metallic Cartridge Revolving Pistol", which would become known as the legendary Colt Single Action Army. At the bottom of the page is Colt's New Line .22 revolver, while the opposite side features the other four calibers of the Colt New Line revolvers, which they advertise as "Colt's New Breech Loaders". Very fine, retains distinct imagery and text with some scattered minor staining and a few very small edge tears and minor fold creases. This rare Colt broadside would be an excellent addition to a Colt New Line or Single Action Army Collection!
