Manufactured in 1876, the top of the barrel marked with the standard two-line Colt address, patent marking on the bottom, and the left of the barrel with the desirable etched panel marked "COLT NEW 22". The left of the frame has the caliber marking and the serial number is marked on the butt. The frame, cylinder, and barrel have a factory floral scroll and zig-zag line engraving. It is fitted with a pair of checkered hard rubber grips. Includes a scarce factory Colt pasteboard box with pink label marked for "COLT'S/New Seven Shot Revolver" and a cleaning rod/screwdriver. Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original nickel finish with some of the attractively aged brass of the frame. The acid etched panel remains sharp and crisp. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine with some mild handling/storage wear.
